Under Tools - Options - Print
there is a check box called Update Fields
What is does,
Let's say you have a word document with fields to fill out. You have gone through and filled everything out, saved it and now want to print it.
This little box goes through and erases all the fields BEFORE you print it, so you get a blank form.
Now, practical use: You have a filled out form, but you want to print a blank copy for someone else. Yeah, this makes sense, for a one time printing.
BUT, this setting is a all or nothing setting, it stays on for everything in word until you turn it off.
