The show opened with Hanzel Und Gretyl, who totally rocked. I really liked them. (Unfortunately, doing further research on them, they are not a german band) :(
Anyway, they sounded german. We watched them from the balcony at the Vic.
Then came Thrill Kill, so we movede downstairs, got about half way to the mosh pit and stopped, they were playing alot of their old classics, but the music levels were off, and the lead singer was totally wasted, so his singing wasn't the best.
Then, finally Ministry was coming up, and we managed to get to the pit, while we were waiting, we saw Val and Dreg from Fashion Bomb, in one of the VIP balconies, Val was with some cute blonde, they waved to us and we waved back.
Ministry came on and the crowd surged forward and I waws doing my best to keep the moshers off elspethnoir. Got my ankle stomped a few times, it's all swollen.
Anyway, Ministry rocked! They played a mix of new and old songs. Then they came out with a bottle of Champagne, sparklers, and a birthday balloon, it was Al Jogensen's birthday, and the whole audience sang for him. He was visibly touched, opened the champagne and showered the crowd with it.
Near the end of the show, Jello Biafra from the Dead Kennedy's joined Al on stage, and sang a few songs, in between rants. We got tired of Jello Biafra singing after 4 songs, so we left.
Oh, and I loved Al's tshirt, it said 'FUCK BUSH'
