Texture is important.

I can't tell you how many people I know refuse to even try something, if they look at it and the texture doesn't seem appealing to them. Or they say, "It tastes okay, but I don't like the texture. I don't want it."*

I personally feel that I am more highly evolved and texture means nothing. I enjoy all types, because I am a decadent wench. In addition, I am rarely put off by strange smells, though all of my senses are rather sharp. The only time I don't want to eat something is if it does not taste good to me.

And as far as a good diet goes, Dr. Phil is right: The longer it takes you to eat something, the better it probably is for you. Crunchy=healthy (except for pork rinds and the like. At least switch to Chex mix.)

This concluded the Nutrition rant for the day. For Fashion, see my journal.

---Halo

*However, I reserve the "Closed-minded Award" for those who do not try something based on how it looks. You belong to the particularly hateful type of people that tried to chase my friends around the schoolyard, weren't you? (If you're wondering why I didn't include myself, it's because I would -and still do- get right up in peoples' faces and ask them what their damage is.)

Re: Texture is important.

So cuddlefish and calamari are *REALLY* healthy. ;)

I always try new foods. It's the best way to experience new things. I'm like that too with texture, it's not very important to me. Just like soft drinks, I still drink them when they are flat. It's the same to me.
